Privacy Policy

Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE] · Last updated: September 10, 2026

EZQizy is currently a beta application. This policy describes our current data practices and will be updated as the product develops.

1. Who we are

EZQizy is a practice-quiz and self-assessment tool operated by ERDSYSTEMS LLC (Enterprise Resource Development Systems) ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what personal information we collect through EZQizy, why, and what rights you have over it. It applies only to EZQizy, not to other Company systems or websites.

2. Who this Service is for

EZQizy is open to anyone who wants to practice quizzes - no invitation is required. You must be at least 13 to use it, and we ask for your date of birth at sign-up to confirm this. EZQizy is not directed at children under 13, does not knowingly allow anyone under 13 to create an account, and does not knowingly collect personal information through EZQizy from anyone under 13. If we learn that we've collected information from someone under 13, we will delete it. We store only the resulting age category (13-17 or 18+) from the date of birth you provide, not the exact date, and do not use it for any purpose beyond confirming eligibility to use the Service.

3. Information we collect

  • Identity information you provide: your email address, and, if you're an administrator, your name and role.
  • Authentication data: your email address is used to send a one-time sign-in link; we do not collect or store passwords.
  • Assessment data: which quiz questions you were shown, your answers, your scores, and timestamps of when you started and completed a session.
  • Content you create or upload: the question sets you write, the files you import questions from, and the documents you upload to search. We store the text these contain so the Service can work. See Section 6.
  • Consent and age records: when you accept these terms, we record the timestamp, the policy version you accepted, your age category (13-17 or 18+, never your exact birthdate), and your browser's user-agent string, to maintain a record of that attestation.
  • Technical data: standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, access times) collected by our hosting provider, and data your browser stores locally to make the app installable and usable offline (see Section 9).

We do not collect payment information, government ID numbers, or biometric data through EZQizy.

4. How we use this information

  • To authenticate you and control access to the Service;
  • To administer quizzes and record your results so you can track your own practice and progress;
  • To confirm you meet the age requirement to use the Service;
  • To keep a record that you accepted these policies;
  • To maintain and improve the security and reliability of the Service.

5. Who can see your information

Access is role-based:

  • You can see your own profile, your own question sets and uploads, and your own results. Other users cannot see any of it - access is enforced by the database itself, row by row, not only by the app.
  • As the operator of the Service we hold the database, so we can reach its contents when we must: to keep the Service running, to restore a backup, or to comply with the law. We do not read your sets or uploads otherwise.
  • We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We use the following service providers to operate EZQizy, each of which processes data on our behalf and under their own security and privacy commitments:

  • Supabase - database, authentication, and email delivery for sign-in links.
  • Hostinger - web hosting for the application itself.

6. Content you upload

When you import questions from a file, or add a document so you can search it, the file is read in your own browser and the text it contains is saved to your account. That text is private to you, in the same way your results are.

We do not review what you upload, and what you put there is your responsibility. Please do not upload documents containing other people's personal, medical, or financial information, or anything you do not have the right to use this way. The Terms of Service set out those obligations in full.

Deleting a set, a document, or your account deletes the stored text with it, subject to the backup timelines in Section 8.

7. Data security

We use access controls at the database level (not just in the app itself) so that only authorized, signed-in users can read or write data appropriate to their role, and all traffic to the Service is encrypted (HTTPS). No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as [e.g., "your account remains active, plus [X] years after your last sign-in" - set an actual retention period], or as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request earlier deletion - see Section 10.

9. Cookies, local storage, and offline data

EZQizy is an installable web app (PWA). To support that and offline use, your browser stores a small amount of data locally on your device: a cached copy of the app itself (via a service worker), and, if you install the app, standard installation data your device manages. This local data is not accessible to other websites and is not a tracking cookie in the advertising sense - we do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact [CONTACT EMAIL]. We'll respond within a reasonable time. Note that deleting certain data (like your account record) may mean you can no longer access the Service.

New Jersey residents: The New Jersey Data Privacy Act applies to businesses that meet certain size/data-volume thresholds. [Confirm with counsel whether ERDSYSTEMS LLC meets those thresholds - if so, additional specific disclosures and a formal appeals process for rights requests are required beyond what's drafted here.]

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service develops. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and for material changes we'll make reasonable efforts to notify users directly.
